Tim had been abusive toward Janie on more than one occasion. But getting Tim out of her house had been more than Janie had been able to accomplish so far.

But now Tim had just gone too far, stealing from her. Fueled by her anger, Janie demanded that Tim move out.

Tim could tell something was different this time, but he refused to move out. He had nowhere to go - and no money - and a child who stayed with them sometimes.
